Biochar (CDR- Removal)
Earth biochar operates as part of OR Recycling Park, the largest organic recycling park in Israel, and specializes in the treatment of organic waste and its conversion into advanced compost and biochar products for agricultural and environmental use. The biochar is produced from clean agricultural wood prunings through high-temperature pyrolysis and enriched with nutrient-dense compost. This combination creates a highly porous material that supports an optimal balance of air and water in the plant root zone, strengthens soil ecosystems, and helps protect plants during periods of stress. Product development is supported by ongoing experimentation and laboratory testing, conducted in collaboration with academic institutions in Israel and experts across Europe.
In collaboration with Carbon World, a dedicated carbon credit project was developed based on diverting organic waste from landfill, implementing controlled composting processes, and producing biochar. The project included the definition of an emissions baseline, quantification of actual emission reductions, and the implementation of a full MRV framework—translating advanced organic waste treatment and soil processes into measurable, verified climate impact within the voluntary carbon market.
